Earlier start time for workshop with Har Nal Kaur on 19 Oct

2015-01-07T07:45:45+00:00

The Kundalini Yoga In Your Life workshop with Har Nal Kaur on Sunday 19 October 2014 will now start half an hour earlier than originally advertised, beginning at 3.00 instead of 3.30 pm and running to 5.30 instead of 6.00 pm.

The reason for the earlier timing is to allow an extra half-hour at the end of the workshop from 5.30 to 6.00 pm for questions about the Level 1 Training. The workshop itself is now FULLY BOOKED but if you didn’t manage to get a place and would like to come along at 5.30 pm for the Q&A you are very welcome.

Like the workshop preceding it, the Q&A session will take place at Evolve, 10 Kendrick Mews, South Kensington SW7 3HG. If you’re considering doing the Level 1 training, it’s a great opportunity to ask any questions that aren’t answered in the registration pack and to get to know lead trainer Har Nal and her team as well as some of the other students.

Nirinjan Kaur chanting workshop and concert, London, 12 Sept

2017-05-18T20:52:16+01:00

Coming soon! A rare chance to see Nirinjan Kaur live in concert and to join her in a pre-concert workshop when she and cellist Matthew Schoening appear at Notting Hill’s Tabernacle on Friday 12th September 2014.

Click here to book on Tabernacle’s website. Tickets cost £24 for the concert only and £24 for the workshop only, with a special discounted price of £45 for both events.

The evening begins at 6pm with the workshop, in which Nirinjan Kaur will teach us how to open our voice and heart to chant to the fullest, tuning into our highest self and opening the doors for our own creativity to flow and transform our lives.

The concert follows at 7.30pm, when Nirinjan Kaur’s smooth, powerful voice and Matthew Schoening’s unique cello looping technique will present mantras and songs from the Sikh and Kundalini Yoga traditions.

Matthew Schoening is a world-reknowned, award-winning artist who plays his electric cello through a complex process of live looping.

Nirinjan Kaur Khalsa was born in Vancouver, Canada, to a family of practicing Sikhs. Her mother, Guru Raj Kaur Khalsa, is also a kirtan artist, and had sung for years before Nirinjan’s birth. While she was at the Miri Piri Academy in India, Nirinjan Kaur learned Eastern music theory from Ustaad Narinder Singh, who also taught her how to sing from a deep place with a full voice. Last year her track Triple Mantra went to the top of the UK spiritual charts after it was selected by Russell Brand on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs.

Healing the Wounded Woman, 18–23 August

2017-05-18T20:52:17+01:00

With Sat Guru Kaur, Har Nal Kaur and Sat Charan Kaur

The theme of this transformative and liberating week is Healing the Wounded Woman. We will be using Kriya, Meditation and Pranayama specially designed to unblock traumatic childhood relationships with the mother, releasing the hurt and resentments which damage self-esteem and prevent us from having healthy relationships.

Dates: 18–23 August 2014
Venue: Le Martinet, France
Cost of 530 euros includes delicious vegetarian meals. Accommodation is in your own tent.

Confirm your registration by sending an email with name, address and date of birth to info@amritnam.com.

The retreat will consist of Sadhana, Yoga Sessions, walks in nature, vision quest, healing circles, dancing, bathing in the river and delicious food specially prepared to heal women. Sat Guru Kaur and Har Nal Kaur have a passion for delivering the women’s teachings to empower and uplift all females, using Somatic and Amanee techniques as an extra healing modality.

Sat Charan Kaur will be interweaving the women’s teachings with fascinating mythical stories on female power, which is her absolute passion and delight, making the theme of the workshop really come to life with her magic touch.

“A woman is always made to feel unkind, and she’s supposed to be convinced that she should be kind, so she can be exploited. It is the mother instinct… what I´m saying is that you should be ahead of the circumstances, don’t follow the sequence. Concentrate, saturate, understand and learn it. You’re a woman in the beginning, you are a woman now, and you are going to be a woman in the end. Be so. And my prayer is, so be it.”

Eveil de Soi, France, 11–18 Aug

2017-05-18T20:52:17+01:00

The journey of life… for many it simply means to travel from one event to the next, going from mood to mood in a never-ending string of changes. From pleasure to pain; from expectation to disenchantment and back again.

There is another way

There is a path to genuine happiness. It is demanding: we must build a Self that does not depend on what we like or dislike as our guiding compass. While we are born with an ego, a worldly personality and a soul, a spiritual personality, we do not have a Self. Awakening the True Self is about finding the door to true life, beyond the polarities of the ordinary world, where life can be rich and meaningful, regardless of circumstance.

Eveil de Soi takes place at the mother Ashram of Amrit Nam Sarovar in the French Alps, and the teacher team is Karta Singh, Har Nal Kaur, Ardas Kaur, Dev Atma Kaur and Sat Charan Kaur. The week offers a unique programme and a singular opportunity for a breakthrough. Many people have experienced the week as turning point in their lives. You can take your kids who can participate in the Children’s Camp that runs close by at the same time.

For the full programme and registration details visit the Amrit Nam Sarovar website.

Brahm Kvach Japa Retreat, France, 23–26 Aug

2015-01-07T07:09:52+00:00

Japa is a very powerful practice of kindling the inner fire. This spiritual heat will inspire you to live for truth and drop your negative habits.

The Brahm Kvach Japa Retreat takes place at the mother Ashram of Amrit Nam Sarovar in the French Alps. We dedicate our gathering around the fire to humanity as a whole. Our prayer is that in this time of transition people will find peace in their minds and the resolution to act for the best future possible. We will be practicing for 40 hours in a row in the presence of the havan. Please come and join the Ashram team in its effort to re-connect to the purpose of what we are building. You are most welcome even if you have no experience with yoga and meditation.

Very powerful. It gave me a lot of courage and I dropped a lot of fear. It helped me find my next step in my life.
